Just like road work or erecting a building – our lives are always under construction. Tim Hinton’s jazzy and sassy production is a fitting tribute to the inevitable chaos and ultimate rewards of construction.“’Construction Zone’ is the perfect blue print for success!”
The Workday Begins
After a quick introduction, the factory whistle blows and everyone heads to work. The music is light and jazzy, demonstrating the enthusiasm of enjoying a day doing work we love.
Lunch Break
It’s lunch time and all work stops for rest and refreshment. Time to get out the lunch pails and relax.
Down to Work
The most serious work of the day gets going after lunch. The drum break (with band interjections) is designed to be a “Stomp” kind of production, with the drum line beating on anything interesting that fits the theme. There is a reprise of the opening “happy work” music and then, at the end, the factory whistle blows once more, bringing the work day (and the show) to a close.
